Food was gross. Had two pulled pork sandwiches. Just gross. Took 2 bites and could not eat it. Wife was the same way. After, we burp all day. Finally had to drink some apple cider vinegar water. Just to get rid of the awful taste. Service was good place was clean. I will not be back.

Good food, and sauce was a classic sweet. It did come out a little cold and had to be reheated. But the waitress was apologetic and got it fixed fast. Overall a good experience.

The Hilltop Inn used to be my favorite place to go for a Brain Sandwich. Over the past few years they have steadily declined in size, taste and quality. I liken it to eating a breaded breading sandwich. Too flourery... and the brains are space. I did have other food there and it was excellent. The server was very attentive and fun/sweet. The Brains are again not like they used to be.....but occasionally will do. I am looking for a better place to have them. When I find that, I will probably not return.

Great food and service. My family has been dining at Hilltop for as long as I can remember and they continue to be our pick for comfort food and Evansville specialties. Photos here are the fried chicken livers with white gravy, sweet & sour cole slaw and mashed taters. Also pictured a pork tenderloin with seasoned fries. Service was friendly and attentive. Pricing very reasonable. GO THERE!

Took out of town friends for a taste of Evansville. Was embarrassed by the food and atmosphere. Stopped at Marx for a quick lunch and discovered I had to go to the Hilltop. Guess another tradition comes to an end. Hope they turn things around.

I always get the gizzards and a bowl of gravy, German fries and a fishbowl. The gizzards always have a good scald on them and are plentiful. The greenbeans are flavorful and the German fries are well cooked and suitablely greasy. The fish bowl is ice cold. The staff is friendly and attentive, sometimes they are shortstaffed. It happens. Usually good seating is available but if you can, sit on the bar side and enjoy one of the best wooden bar backs of any place in Evansville. Gravel parking lot, when it rains it's messy. Highly recommend for bar food.

Went on a Saturday at 415 only 1 other table was seated ahead of us, took them forver to come to our table and give menus to our table of 4. The food was not good at all. Barbecue Soaker sandwich with German fries was the worst barbeque Ive ever tasted that my mom ordered. Fries was very mushy. My wife ordered Chicken Gizzards and had so much grease it was insane. I had a grilled chicken sandwhich to flavor on it mac and cheese as as side was old. The kids chicken tender meal was the onky thing fresh and good. The restaurant had not been dusted in forever you could literally right your name on the banister area by the table with no problem. We wont be back!
